    TalentFleX Solutions, a leading Business & Technology consulting firm, is actively recruiting a Sr. Payroll Specialist for a client in the Wilmington, DE area.  The Sr. Payroll Specialist provides full support of all aspects of the US payroll for approximately 4,500 employees.  Responsibilities will include all payroll processing activities, support and assist with recommended changes / enhancements that impact the payroll department.  This is a critical support role on the HR Operations team and will report to Global Payroll Manager.

    Responsibilities

    • Acts as subject matter expert and / or resource to others for payroll processing transactions
    • Reviews, analyzes and verifies payroll reports and documents for accuracy; makes necessary adjustments or corrections using established procedures
    • Analyzes and responds to complex matters requiring comprehensive knowledge of payroll policies and procedures
    • Researches and interprets a variety of technical transactions in response to inquiries
    • Authorizes, reviews and/or may enter payroll transactions and related data
    • Researches, analyzes and resolves difficult or advanced technical problems or questions presented by co-workers, faculty, staff, students, and/or outside agency representatives
    • Audit local, state and federal tax documents
    • Recommends or participates in the development of new procedures and policies related to payroll operations
    • Completes pre / post payroll processing activities based on implemented procedures
    • Prepares quarterly reconciliations for tax and any other areas requiring process support
    • Oversee all garnishment processing / administration by third party vendor
    • Responds verbally or in writing to inquiries or problems and makes necessary adjustments when necessary
    • Collaborate with HR Operations team, functional and technical staff, both internal and external, to achieve required payroll results
    • Work directly with OSV (Onesource Virtual) to resolve all inquiries impacting employees or support teams
    • Additional tasks / projects as assigned

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of payroll in a multi-state company
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion and professionalism with sensitive information
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
    • Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Outlook
    • Payroll Systems experience required, Workday and OSV preferred
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, HR or Business, and / or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • CPP desired
