    TalentFleX Solutions, a leading business and technology consulting firm, is actively supporting a client in the IT space that is in need of Technical Project Manager. This client provides software and services for insurance carriers and administrators. Their customers use their software to sell insurance, bill for it, pay claims, and much more. Their customers range from small regional insurers to household name brands. This client is located in Eddystone, PA.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage critical IT infrastructure modernization projects, from project initiation through closeout, within the parameters of cost, quality, schedule and objectives.
    • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for execution of projects
    • Actively involved in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility
    • Ensure resource availability and allocation through methods defined by the PMO
    • Create and maintain project documentation as recommended by PMO
    • Develop project plan and monitor/track progress through methods defined by the PMO
    • Review time accounting system weekly
    • Manage changes to project scope, schedule and costs using techniques defined by the PMO
    • Maintain forecast of cash flow including actuals vs planned costs including contracted costs and approved changes
    • Measure and report project performance using techniques defined by the PMO
    • Report and escalate to management according to defined governance structure
    • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders
    • Perform risk and issues management to minimize project risk according to PMO defined process
    • Works independently. Responsible for the pursuit of cost reductions and maximizing value on all assigned projects. Responsible for project communications and required negotiations with internal and external organizations.
    • No Business Travel anticipated.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Technical or Management Discipline with 5+ years project management experience or equivalent military/work experience
    • Solid technical background with deep understanding and/or hands on experience in software development, database design or web technologies
    • Proven track record of successful execution of multiple simultaneous software development projects
    • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
    • Knowledgeable of various contracting methods and contract basics
    • Knowledgeable of SDLC Methodology
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
    • Understanding of working in a matrix organization environment
    • Proficient in using all products in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Familiarity for Jira and ability to actively manage project issues and bugs using this tool
