Overview

 

The HR Generalist provides strategic planning and hands on support to our growing organization to drive business results through people initiatives both now and in the future. Additionally, this role will work on key HR initiatives and projects relative to the growth of the business, change management, and implementation of HR best practices. 

Job Description 
Provide HR Generalist support to the leadership team with particular focus on driving the talent strategy, and developing internal talent, along with the recruitment and retention of top talent. 



Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities 

  • Employee Relations – ensure proper coaching of managers to improve employee performance and engagement.
  • Compensation - Ensure competitiveness and alignment with overall Business plan 
  • Workforce and succession planning – build succession plans and proactively identify resourcing options to close potential resourcing gaps 
  • Recruitment – Support talent acquisition team by recruiting for critical non exempt and exempt roles 
  • Talent development – Manage talent review process, performance management, and employee development programs 
  • HRIS – Utilize our HRIS system to track and maintain personnel data to be used for payroll, performance management, benefits, compliance and training/development initiatives 
  • Compliance - Manages and reports on areas of HR risk, including: employee accidents/injuries/workers compensation, employee internal grievances and external complaints, and unemployment claims 
  • Project Management- Work on HR initiatives and projects across multiple HR disciplines, including, but not limited to: compensation, culture, diversity, governance and policy, change management, talent management, performance management, HRIS, and benefits 

Qualifications

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree with major concentration in business-related field; advanced degree preferred, but not required 
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a client-focused HR Generalist role 
  • Strong business acumen 
  • Professional HR Certification desired 
  • Exhibits excellent negotiating and influencing skills 
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills 
  • Savvy at building partnerships at all levels of the organization and must be viewed as a trusted advisor to the business 
  • Demonstrate confidence in coaching and influencing 
    Strong understanding of financial implications and risks associated with talent decisions 
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, and fast-paced environment 
  • Analytical with strong project management skills 
  • Must have high energy, excellent communication skills, be professional and polished
  • Self-starter, able to work independently, takes ownership 
  • Excellent computer skills with MS office, and HRIS (Namely preferred)
