Overview

TalentFlex Solutions, a leading Business & Technology consulting firm, is actively supporting a Allentown, PA based client that produces tubular Poles for use in the utility, lighting, transportation and communication industries. This client is in need of a Senior Accountant that is able to work proactively, prioritize their work, have good communication skills, and work with a diverse group of people. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the entire General Ledger process (making accruals, completing period end close, accurate posting to the AR, AP, accruals, adjusting journals, reversals, depreciation and fixed assets, closing journal entries, etc.)
  • Responsible for the monthly close cycle and ensuring adherence to monthly/quarterly/annual close schedules
  • Review and prepare complete financial statements and reconcile bank records
  • Oversee and manage accounts payables, receivables, and other supporting functional departments
  • Weekly cash balance reporting and monthly forecasting
  • Tax preparation activities with Company's outside service providers
  • Process payroll in a timely manner and manage associated payroll activities/responsibilities
  • Detailed maintenance of all accounting records
  • Manage intercompany accounting
  • Be primary communication point for CPA firm
  • Assist with managing insurance relationships including healthcare plans, etc. 

Qualifications

  • BS in Accounting
  • Minimum of 8 years experience managing day-to-day activities and other accounting management / bookkeeping responsibilities including: journal entries, month end financial close, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, payroll, fixed asset records, etc.
  • Solid understanding of accounting processes and procedures and US GAAP
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents
  • Proven ability to meet daily and monthly deliverables
  • Very strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel
  • Ability to meet established deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvements
  • Experience with sales and use taxes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to interface with executives across functions
