Overview

We are looking for a talented Technical Lead who is excited about working in a rapidly growing technology company and who will thrive in a fun and challenging environment. This person will engage directly with customers to understand the technical and practical aspects of their business requirements, and then be responsible for designing and implementing the ETL process/solutions which map the requirements to our technology. Our solution is implementing the business rules and strategies of our customers - the accurate translation of their business rules to our representation of them is a key element in our success.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Work with customers to gain a deep understanding of business rules and process and their systems, environments, and databases
  • Understand and elicit from customers the practical / technical aspects of their business requirements, and map them to Aktana technology
  • Design and implement ETL process and solutions between our data warehouse and customer and third party systems
  • Deal with customer and partner requirements for data integration needs.
  • Translate multiple customers’ configuration, data and strategy to a single schema applicable across customers
  • Implement quality assurance and data cleansing techniques as required.
  • Provide support and script development support for design of best possible ETL solutions and for existing ETL scripts.
  • Work cross functionally with product management to design and prioritize, and as part of our development process, to develop and release, features required for the Aktana ETL technology stack
  • Be able to represent Aktana in front of customers and build a trust based working relationship with IT departments of our customers (initially large pharmaceutical enterprises)
  • Provide on-call support to customers when issues are detected and during critical periods

 

Qualifications

Desired Skills / Experience

  • 2-5 years of technical sales engineering experience
  • 2-5 years of design and implementation of ETL solutions using one of the major vendor products such as Kettle
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with business analysis and reporting experience
  • Exposure to large data volumes and their related issue
  • Data experience specifically in a pharmaceutical sales environment with an understanding of their business entities and processes is a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus (Salesforce.com APIs: Force.com SOAP, REST-based Web Service APIs, Bulk API, and the Metadata API; and retrieving with Salesforce.com Data - sObjects, SOQL and SOSL)
  • Comfort with Continuous Implementation Services such as Jenkins is a plus
  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services is a plus
  • Comfort with Git also a plus
  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical data (Script level data, Claims data, Managed Markets, etc)
